Sneek Preview

Due to my recent unemployment I have had a lot more time on my hands! What is not suprising is that I have been getting crafty most days. I decided to post some images of my growing inventory of items that will be offered at my craft fair table in November. If you are in the Boston area November 10th and 20th, please contact me so I can share with you the two locations where fairs will be taking place!

Hope you enjoy,

Time for Fall

The seasons are changing, and it's time to showcase some of the great products I have come across in my Etsy surfing.

First featured product is the "Three Jacks" fall wall hanging by QuiltCabanaPatterns. The project is described as "easy fusible applique and blanket stitching that will work up quickly".
Find the pattern here for a very reasonable price: http://www.etsy.com/listing/31853337/three-jacks-fall-wall-hanging-pattern

Next in the lineup are these beautiful soaps by SatinandBirch. I am typically not into decorative soaps, but the intricacy of the products in this shop looks incredible.
I definitely just "hearted" this seller. Check out the pumpkin soaps for yourself here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/55205565/pumpkin-spice-gift-soap?

And how could I possibly leave out my favorite genre; weddings! StudioWedbyMirela has a beautiful autumn bouquet available. The bouquet is monochromatic, but has tons of variety. Great job on the photography too! Technology

WOW.
It was not too long ago that I was wishing I could get "more connected" and jump on the smartphone/awesome computer/Tweeting/Blogging/instant everything bandwagon. Well here I am. I have had my iphone4 for about 2 weeks now, and an HpTouchSmart600 for 2 days. Boy am I on top of things.

Granted, uploading images of inanimate objects to Facebook while I am on the go isn't making my life any more organized...but its fun to do regardless.

Wish me luck as I continue to figure out how to use all these amazing new toys...and a big shout out to the amazing Mr. Jones for buying us this really cool (and tax free) computer =)

Holllaaa ECID!

Shout out to all the wonderful, talented students in the Endicott College Interior Design program. I had a visit with them during their class today, and was able to share some of my personal and professional work. Upon taking a peek at some of their sketches, everyone seems to be on the right track to nailing down perspective drawing, and shading / shadows.

I have posted a couple of my favorites up here for you to take a peek at, and have a couple links to share with you that my colleagues recommended:

Hopefully you will find enjoyment in rendering, and it will not seem like homework at all =) I actually find it pretty therapeutic once I gain some momentum with one.

Please do not hesitate to contact me, as I would be more than happy to answer your rendering / Interiors questions, or be a second pair of eyes for your presentation work.
BEST of luck everyone!!!

Bouquet Charms

I really love the idea of incorporating a little secret into a bride's bouqet. Much more than a touch of "bling", the charms can fulfill superstitions (something blue!), and symbolize the presence of those who could not attend the special day.

A charm can be as visible or invisible as a bride wants it to be. From traditional to Gothic, I think I have covered many bases already, though I am excited to challenge myself to create some really unique pieces.....stay tuned!

You can check out ready-to-ship charms in my Etsy shop by clicking on this post (that is, if I did this right)...OR you can contact me to get started on your one-of-a-kind customized charm!

Here are some examples of my favorites....enjoy!
